John Greenwood is an innovative, award-winning contact centre specialist recognised for his ground-breaking work as lead SME supporting the PCI Standards Security Councils current Information Supplement - Protecting telephone-based payment card data. John joined The Decisions Group in 1992 where he led significant change projects delivering customer contact strategies for leading brands across the Financial Services, Technology, Travel and Retail sectors. As a leading industry innovator he launched what has been recognised as one of the first 'chat' based customer contact centres almost 20 years ago and in 2012 led the worlds first fully hosted PCI scope reduction solution enabling a no card data environment with compliant access to the legacy call recordings. With time spent supporting industry initiatives with the CCA e-Skills, John is now leading an industry-wide initiative for the UK charity sector. As Chair of the Vendorcom Subject Matter Expert Group supporting payments security in contact centres, John is also leading regulatory conversations on the impact of PSD2 and Strong Customer Authentication on UK contact centre operations. As a co-founder of Compliance3 in 2014, John has supported over 27 PCI DSS scope reduction projects for leading consumer brands and BPO providers across the world.
